Erinne Willock Training Hard

It has been a great year so far for Pacific Cycling Centre athlete Erinne Willock who has posted some impressive results for the National Team as well as for her team Webcor Builders.

At the Montreal World Cup on May 30 she came eighth — an impressive result on what is regarded the toughest course on the World Cup calendar. The event always attracts the top European riders and this year was no exception. “I was very happy with how my race and preparation went for the Montreal World Cup,” said Willock. “I hadn't raced very much early season and took a slower winter than normal after the Olympics, so Montreal was my first focus of the year. My cycling coach Houshang Amiri planned out a great training schedule for me and with some hard riding leading into the race I felt ready. The hard work paid off and I got a result I was happy with.”

Willock had a 4th place finish at the Canadian National Elite Time Trials which took place at St-Georges-de- Beauce, Quebec on June 26. The 20 km course was the same as the previous two years with a gradual uphill followed by a descent to the finish. Coming off
