"Having this service available to cyclists looking to take the next step in their progression is really important for cycling in Canada."- Rob Britton

The Canadian National Mountain Bike Championships on July 11 proved to be an exciting race in the men’s event with four of Canada’s top cyclists battling to be on the podium. Six-time winner Geoff Kabush, Canada Cup series leader Derek Zandstra, BC Bike Race winner Seamus McGrath, and Max Plaxton were all battling for the lead in this five-lap race.
Zandstra was leading for most of the race until Plaxton made a break at the end of the fourth lap. But he was pipped at the post by Kabush who took a 12 seconds lead with a final surge. Plaxton fought back to a nine second gap but he wasn’t able to catch Kabush. “I can't say I am satisfied with second place but Geoff Kabush is a very experienced athlete with eight years more of racing knowledge over me,” said Plaxton. “I know for sure that I will fight even harder to win the Maple Leaf jersey next year.”
