Brian Cowie and Devon Smibert (BC Blind Sports) captured a silver medal at the 2010 Canadian Paracycling National Track Championships on July 7th in Bromont, Quebec. Cowie and his pilot Smibert were just 0.43 seconds behind the lead team, and made the national team standards by over four seconds. Temperatures during the championships went beyond 40 degrees Celsius but many para-cyclists achieved their national standards. Both Cowie and Smibert are based out of Burnaby and coached by distance by Houshang Amiri.
