Paula Findlay crosses the finish line

Houshang Amiri, Head Coach and President of Pacific Cycling Centre, recently returned from the Canadian National Triathlon Championships in Kelowna, BC. Amiri has been assisting some of Canada’s top triathletes in their cycling training and technique.

“Many triathletes come from either a strong running or swimming background and have not had the cycling development they could use to give them that edge,” says Amiri. “I help triathletes improve their efficiency on the bike, and also how to ride effectively and strategically in a group.”

Simon Whitfield, two-time Olympic medalist from Victoria, won his ninth National title in the elite men’s race by .2 seconds while Paula Findlay took the win in the elite women’s division.

Pacific Cycling Centre offers customized training programs online and in person for elite, age-group and Masters triathletes and cyclists. Check out our programs for triathletes here
