Jamie Sparling Wins Stage at the Tobago Cycling Classic

October 01, 2010

Pacific Cycling Centre athlete Jamie Sparling won the second stage of the Tobago International Cycling Classic yesterday, and after Stages 2 and 3 leads the race.

Stage 2 was the ITT which was a 12km stage route from Carnbee to Shirvan. He completed it in 13:36:6 placing him in the lead prior to Stage 3, which was held in the afternoon. The grueling 5-lap 100km stage took its toll on many riders, but Sparling was strong finishing 12th in 2:48:33. After Stage 3 he maintains his lead with a time of 42:11:3.
