Women in Sport Gala Honours BC Women

The 4^th Annual Celebration of Women in Sport was held on April 1, honouring women’s achievement in sport. Pacific Cycling Centre athlete, Annie Ewart was nominated in the athlete category for her achievements as a junior cyclist in 2011.

Annie attended the gala brunch at the Pacific Institute for Sport Excellence (PISE) with her coach Houshang Amiri and parents, Colin and Sarah Ewart. The event highlights the importance of sport for girls and women in all stages of athletic development. The nominations covered four categories – athlete, sport builder, volunteer and coach.
