Pacific Cycling Centre’s Nik Vogler has a new team. In a press conference last week it was announced she will be part of the 2012 Specialized-Mazda-SGC women’s road team.

The race management announced that the team – predominantly made up of younger riders – will race across North America and compete twice in Europe this season, at the Le Tour du Limousin and at the Tour de Bretagne (Tour of Brittany). The ultimate goal is the 2016 Olympics.

Nik has had a good season to date, achieving a second place at Stage One of the Tour of Walla Walla in Washington in April. She came eighth in the final GC. Specialized-Mazda-SGC will compete at the GP Cycliste de Gatineau on May 21
