Good World Cup result for Max Plaxton

May 14, 2012

Pacific Cycling Centre’s Max Plaxton became the best Canadian male finisher yesterday at the Nove Mesto MTB World Cup in the Czech Republic. He finished 14th - his best ever European World Cup finish.

Starting mid-field he moved into the top 20 and with three laps to go was 14th. Although he couldn’t move up the field he told Canadian Cyclist: "I felt great out there. I always knew that I had it in me. I just had to put it together. I'm pretty happy with a top-15, but I know that I can do a top-10." This will boost his chances to be picked for one of the two Canadian Olympic births.
