The inaugural team time trial at the Road World Championships produced a bronze medal for Svein Tuft’s team ORICA-GreenEDGE.  The World Championships are being held in Limburg, Netherlands.

The six-man team covered the 53.2 km  course in 1:04:07 claiming an average speed of 50.25 km per hour.  The course was very technical with narrow streets, roundabouts and sharp corners with the Cauberg climb in Valkenburg to finish off the race. ORICA-GreenEDGE crossed the line with four riders, the fourth of whom determines the team’s time.  “Congratulations to Svein and his team for a great performance on a very technical course,” said Houshang Amiri, Head Coach, Pacific Cycling Centre.

The World Championships continue until September 23.
