PCC’s December camp took place last weekend under inclement weather. The four-day camp featured some challenging endurance rides, time trialing and a strength gym session.
The first day was a time trial on challenging Willis Point Rd and then on the rolling hills of Land’s End. This was followed by a presentation at PISE by Head Coach Houshang Amiri on balancing cycling requirements to attain peak performance. The second day was paceline with riders doing sub-threshold paceline work in Sidney and Land’s End, followed by the Panorama hill. In the evening there was a strength and core session with stretching and plyometrics. Saturday was the toughest day as the riders braved high winds and lashing rain over a 5-hour ride. The last day featured a mix of endurance and hill repeats before everyone departed.
The next camp is January 10-13, 2013 and the deadline to sign up is December 30.
