Svein Tuft won the time trial in the first stage of the Tour de Slovénie this week, his second TT win of the season. It was also the 20th win of the season for his team ORICA-GreenEDGE.

In a team media release Tuft said: ““Everything went right today, I have good sensations from the start. I knew I was on a good ride.” He completed the flat, fast 8.8 km course in 9:55, averaging 53.2 km/hour.  “I went as hard as I could and hoped to hang on all the way to the finish. It was about not leaving anything in the tank,” Tuft added.
