Chris MacLeod on the podium

PCC Coach Houshang Amiri accompanied three riders from the Dr Walker Sports Chiropractic Team to the Northwest Track Cycling Championships in Redmond, WA last week. Held at the Marymoor Velodrome, the three-day event was a great success and good experience for the riders.

Chris MacLeod, Callie Swan and Alexandra Grant all did well with Chris reaching the podium four times and Callie twice. Chris won the Junior men’s 1 and 3 kilometre races as well as the 4 x 5 points and the scratch races. Callie won the Junior women’s 500 and 2 kilometre race.

“Our riders did very well, and it was a good experience for them. It was Callie’s first track race and good training for the upcoming BC Provincial Track Championships and the Canadian Track Nationals in October,” said Coach Amiri.
