PCC Athletes at the RCL Cycling Series

PCC-coached athletes competed in the three day Robert W. Cameron Law Cycling Series last weekend in Victoria. Nine riders represented three teams in the time trial on Dallas Road, the road race in Metchosin and the BC Criterium Championships in the Inner Harbour on Sunday.

In the time trial Cat 1/2/3 women Callie Swan came fifth, Marina Aspen was 13th and Holly Simonson 14th. All three race for Dr. Walker Sport Chiropractor Cycling team. In the Cat 1/2 men James Grant was 13th. James races for TaG Cycling Club.

In Saturday’s road race in Men Cat 3, Erik Diertens (Dr. Walker Sport Chiropractor Cycling) podiumed in second place. Mark Grant was 16th (TaG Cycling Club).   In women’s Cat 3 Callie was 14th and Holly 15th. In Cat 2 men Alex Amiri was 11th and Josh Kropf was 14th. Both race for Giant Langley Smart Savvy Team.

Sunday’s criterium started at 8 am with a series of races. Mark came fourth in the Men Cat 3 and Erik was 22nd. In the men’s elite field Chris MacLeod came 12th and James was 14th. Chris rides for Giant Langley Smart Savvy Team.

In the elite women omnium Callie placed 9th overall and Holly 11th. In the elite men omnium Chris placed 12th.
