PCC athletes compete at Junior Track Nationals

The 2018 Junior Track Nationals were held last weekend at the Mattamy National Cycling Centre in Milton, Ontario. Pacific Cycling Centre had four cyclists compete. Micaiah Besler from Saskatchewan (Team Tag) in U19, Cable Bender from Saskatchewan (Dr. Walker Sports Chiropractic Team) in U19, Aedan Corkers from BC (Team Tag) in U17, and Megan Barnes from BC (Dr. Walker Sports Chiropractic Team) in U17.

The athletes achieved over 90% of their target objectives in this early season performance. Caleb Bender reached the podium coming second in the Team Pursuit. “Our focus at PCC will now shift to road cycling and developing the young riders so they can build the necessary foundation for future championships,” said Head Coach, Houshang Amri. “I am happy how our riders raced at the track nationals, particularly the Saskatchewan riders, who had very limited track time or road training beforehand.”
