A program designed to balance your performance goals with daily life…
If you are looking to improve your performance and maximize your fitness while fitting your training in with the day-to-day demands of life then this program is a great place to start. Not everyone can or wants to make the sacrifices required of a Pro cyclist. Enjoyment and balance are equally important.
Your personalized training program will be built and evaluated each month based on your feedback and heart rate training data for all key training sessions and races. Your coach will provide regular guidance for optimal performance.
Athletes in this program will be coached by an Elite PCC coach with experience in all cycling disciplines as well as Triathlon, Ironman and Exterra. Your coach, through regular mentorship opportunities and coaching innovation sessions with centre Elite Master Coaches, will be able to identify your individual needs and communicate a balanced training program directed towards your goals. Coaches in this program have NCCP level 3 or equivalent certification and over 7 years of coaching experience.
For many athletes in this program, it is their first time using a structured plan that encompasses the full season. As both your coach and past athletes, we understand the challenges of committing to your plan while balancing it with the rest life. We believe that part of our job as your coach is to help you transition to a more structured and directed plan while keeping the balance. One important part of this balance is having short and long term goals. Through your “in field” testing and questionnaires we will help you set goals that are realistic and motivating.
Your STP will cover the most important phases of your training and competition periods. You will know far ahead when your volume or intensity will increase so that you can adjust accordingly.
Your key performance factors (KPF) will be benchmarked and mapped out for each phase. These include:

At the PCC we explore all aspects of your training. Your baseline measurements will be identified through “in-field” testing carefully guided by your coach. Target training zones will be established using the equipment and tools available to you when you train. There’s no point providing you with power zones if you don’t have a power meter. You can be certain that the targets given to you are specific, clear, and can be followed in your during your workouts.
You and your coach will re-evaluate your baselines for each new training block.
