If you are over 30 years of age and racing in the Master’s Category, this is the right program for you...

Based on our program for top professional athletes and Olympians, we will modify it for your personal adaptation and recovery rates. We believe in offering you the best to help you achieve the highest level of personal excellence regardless of your racing level.

Just like our Olympians, you will work with our most experienced and proven coaches. They will build your 12 month Yearly Training Plan (YTP) based on your skills and goals (through performance testing, past results, questionnaires and interviews.) This highly customized program will cover all aspects of your development and will evolve with you as we analyze how you respond to training stimuli, the environment around you, and racing.

The foundation of this program is careful and constant analysis of your Key Performance Factors (KPF) including your daily training files (power meter, HR, RPM, speed,) evaluating your recovery and regeneration, and your training and racing progress.


Your Coach

Athletes in this program will be coached by an Elite Senior Coach who works at the National level and has experience in all cycling disciplines as well as Triathlon, Ironman and Exterra. They will have extensive coaching experience with all level of athletes (from development to master athletes and age group athletes.) Coaches in this program have NCCP level 4 or equivalent certification and over 12 years of coaching experience.



Your Yearly Training Program (YTP)

Included (in full year contract)


Most athletes in this program have several years under their belts and are looking to perfect their training. Your program requires the highest level of detail individualized to your strengths, weaknesses, and routine in order to reach higher levels. At the heart of the program are your goals, which will guide your coach in all stages of plan development. Through in depth reviews and advanced testing we help you to set ambitious but realistic short and long term goals.

Periodization is a fundamental part of your preparation. The YTP will give an overall view of how your season fits together and what you need to do in each phase ( GPP-SPP-PCP-CP-TP) which are further broken down into mesocycles and microcyles. Click here for more information on YTP structure.

Your key performance factors (KPF) will be benchmarked and mapped out for each phase. These include:

  • Advanced power output analysis in direction relation to your heart rate and other KPFs for each target zone
  • Advanced analysis of your heart rate for each training zone
  • Daily monitoring of recovery and adaptation when you send your power files – your training will be modified to match your recovery and adaptation rate.

Race tapering and peaking strategies will be built into your program and YTP. Your coach will help you to design the best tapering program for you and then build that plan into your YTP for all key races.


Communication

Regular communication is fundamental element of this program. This program includes:


  • Daily analysis of your workouts when you send your training files (Monday – Friday)
  • Up to five coach-initiated emails each week
  • Unlimited athlete-initiated coaching communications

Testing

Through our partnership with the Canadian Sports Centre (CSC-P) we are able to offer the full range of testing at international caliber facilities. This includes power profiling, lactate levels, VO2max, and pedaling biomechanics. To learn more about testing options available, click here
