Pacific Cycling Centre
Pacific Cycling Centre (PCC) provides coaching and training services for Elite, Masters, and Junior athletes in road, mountain bike, track, and cyclo-cross.
With over four decades of coaching experience, Houshang Amiri and PCC have seen many athletes come through our doors and achieve high levels of success during their time with us.
Our alumni past successes are immense and now we have a new generation of athletes who are making strides and achieving podium finishes on a national and international level.
Athletes training with the Pacific Cycling Centre have over 100 National Championship medals between them and range from provincial elite to Olympic competitors.
PCC Alumni athletes include: MTB World Champion Roland Green, Giro d’italia Champion Ryder Hesjedal, Seven-time National Time Trial Champion and Olympian Svein Tuft, World Cup finisher and Olympian Erinne Willock, MTB XCO podium finisher Max Plaxton, XTerra World Champion Melanie McQuaid and Paralympic Track World Championship third-place finishers Brian Cowie and Devon Smibert.
I attribute my increased performance directly to my association with Houshang Amiri. I am not getting any younger but I am getting faster and stronger, so Houshang must be doing something right – Brian Cowie (2009)
During the course of a season PCC has approximately 20 athletes who participate in its programs from attending camps to racing in provincial and national events.
