Pre-Road National Championships Training Camp

Camp 1: U19, U23 and Elite – June 8-12, 2022. Duration: 5 days
Camp 2: Masters – June 16-19, 2022. Duration: 4 days

This camp aims to prepare you for the Canadian Road / ITT National Championships. Note: there are two camp levels and dates – one for U19, U23 and Elite, and the second for Masters.

The last 3-4 weeks of training before a major race is the most important block of every athletes training. The last months of training and preparation can be lost in the final few weeks before a major race, therefore this camp is planned to assist your strategy and taper so you can maximize your preparation.

Remember not always the strongest rider wins the cycling races – winners are the ones who know his/her strength and weakness, knows the race demands and have the knowledge and ability to perform at his/her best. By end of the camp you will know where your fitness is and strategy.

During the camp information sessions we will review the Nationals 2022 road and ITT course and help you to plan so you perform at your best.

The group rides aimed to improve endurance, boost aerobic capacity, aerobic power and speed.   You will work with PCC head coach Houshang Amiri who is leading the camp. You will find out what you need to know about how to build and tune your fitness before race.

Camp includes:

Daily training sessions with Pacific Cycling Centre Head Coach Houshang Amiri. Ride support with nutrition and hydration products.

Presentation on training: This will include planning the recovery, and fatigue management for peak performance. A Q & A session is held after the presentation.
