PCC Athletes Competing in WA Track Races

It’s a busy month for PCC athletes. Riders will be competing in the Junior Washington State Track Championships this weekend, July 12 – 13, in Redmond, Washington, and the elites will be at the Alpenrose Velodrome Challenge from July 18 – 20, and the following weekend, July 25 – 26, at the Marymoor GP.

At the Juniors this weekend PCC athletes will be competing in the U17 and U19 categories at the Marymoor Velodrome. Registration and track opens on Saturday at 7 am with racing at 9 am. On Sunday registration and track opens at 8 am with racing at 10 am.

The Alpenrose Velodrome Challenge is the premier track race on the Alpenrose Velodrome Calendar. AVC draws athletes from all over the world for three days of racing at Portland’s 268m velodrome. The venue features a close knit atmosphere with 43-degree banks which makes for fast action packed racing.

Prizes are cash and are for individual events, plus Elite Men’s Overall Omnium and Elite Women Overall Omnium.  http://omnium-events.com/alpenrose-velodrome-challenge/
