PCC riders shine in Snake RR

PCC riders competed in the first Escape Velocity Spring Series, the Snake RR, on March 11, in Langley. This was the first the race of the season for most of the riders.

The 10km loop included a short power climb of about 500m with an average grade of over 7%, which became a critical factor for most of the pelaton. This didn’t deter PCC coached rider Alex Amiri, racing for Vancouver-based Glotman•Simpson Cycling Club / Race Team, who finished second.

“This was a good start for the race season for PCC riders and it was an excellent opportunity to get some race miles in,” said head coach, Houshang Amiri.
