PCC Offers Short Term Training Programs

The Pacific Cycling Centre is offering 10-week customized programs for cyclists — the programs will be based on the cyclist’s personal needs and goals.

PCC coaches will assess and identify the cyclist’s base line, focusing on a target area while allowing him/her to maintain other aspects of their training and day-to-day life. The program will aim to build and improve on any weakness they may have and complement their experiences in training and racing.

There are two packages available - Basic and Advanced.
Basic packages (monitoring component not available): $345.00
Advanced packages (includes program monitoring i.e. weekly assessment of their progress and weekly adjustment as needed): $645.00

AVAILABLE PROGRAMS

Strength: Specific cycling discipline-related strength, core endurance and stability.
Aerobic: Base aerobic and endurance, aerobic power and maximal aerobic power.
Sprinting: Speed and speed endurance, speed and speed strength.
Efficiency: Improve your riding economy and “on-bike effectiveness” (pedaling techniques, spinning ability, climbing efficacy) customized to your type of riding and racing.
Training with Power for Time Trial: Learn how to use power in practical terms and improve your Time Trialing.
Training with Power for Road Racing and Hill Climbing: Learn how to use power in practical terms and maximize and manage your effort on long climbs and road races.
Recovery and Regeneration: If you feel you are not improving and starting to plateau in your training, or if you can’t hold the intensity or feeling spent, if your HR is not going up in your training no matter what you do, or your sleep patterns are changing, then these symptoms could have long-term effects and cost you the season. We take the matter off your shoulders and solve it for you and get you back on track (advanced package only).
Tapering and Peaking: Fine tuning and strategic planning will help you get the best out of your training. You will be able to peak at the right time for the race of your dreams. This program will have a day-by-day Microcycles focus on your top strengths, while making sure you get the required rest and recovery for ultimate peaking.
