PCC coached riders participated in the Thunderbird RR and Aldergrove East RR last weekend, the third weekend of the Escape Velocity Spring Series. The riders raced in three different teams Chris MacLeod and Alex Amiri for Giant Langley Smart Savvy + Cycling Team, James and Mark Grant for TaG Cycling Club, and Erik Diertens and Holly Simonson for Dr. Walker Sport Chiropractic Cycling Team.

In Category A at the Thunderbird RR on Saturday, Alex and Chris both raced hard. Alex was in a five-man brake for most of the race when in the final lap Chris sprinted to a 3rd place finish.

“Both days proved to be character building races with temperatures around 8C rain and wind,” said Head Coach Houshang Amiri. “All of the athletes did well in their respective team and race categories.”
