Max Plaxton leads the Pro XTC Tour

June 14, 2009

Pacific Cycling Centre athlete Max Plaxton leads the Pro XTC series after a win at the CTS Sand Creek International, Colorado on June 13. The race was the fifth in the eight- race USA Cycling Pro Mountain Bike Cross Country Tour. Seven of the races are UCI sanctioned.

Plaxton competed with over 100 of North America’s best male mountain bikers. “It has been a great year so far placing consistently in the top three, winning the last round of the series as well as leading the overall field since round two. I am having a lot of fun racing my bike and look forward to the rest of the season with hopes of winning the number one plate.”

The Pro XTC series was created in 2009 to provide world-class athletes with competitive, UCI sanctioned events in the USA. At the end of the season the overall winners are recognized as the best professional cross country athletes in North America.
